The Virtual Farm Academy is collaborative project of SAFE Network and CBSUA. This project was launched on October 20, 2019 during the SAFE International Conference in Phuket, Thailand. The SAFE Network provides resources and opportunities to bring together people from different areas and interests to share ideas; explore various discussions; establish and maintain connections and partnerships; and share the achievements of their work. With CBSUA as the host institution, both parties agree to develop educational and service platforms; and promote the Virtual Farm Academy to the scientific community and global society. As the academe embraces industry revolution and disruptions, the next generation of learners is expected to exploit a virtual learning environment. Hence, we are creating a free platform where learners can easily access the science, art and practices of sustainable farming.
Our content creators are educators and researchers in Asia Pacific who share the same vision and responsibility in developing a better world through sustainable farming. All levels of learners are welcome in this online platform. Aside from a live chat feature where learners can openly start a virtual conversation, we have included a discussion component in the modules so they can start a constructive dialogue with our module authors.
